Of wtfiswrongnowsadays

Nowsadays. The new catchphrase.
Its the most cool word EVER, with the exception of those that are cooler.

But anyway... this isn't a crapping post. Its just about the lady who passed away after giving birth to twins.

this is the cleaned up version of the story posted on channelnewslater:
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/287449/1/.html

Quote:
"Her family is appreciative of the hard work put in by hospital staff, but they felt that the process of withdrawing blood was too slow."
Go. Check it out. Then watch the TV coverage of the bereaved father screaming
"救人还需要批准的?!?!??!"
Ah. The wonders of sanitation.

Seriously. WTF is wrong with nowsadays?

"Madam Swee's husband, Jason Low, said a hospital staff told him that a request for more blood would have to be approved by higher authorities.

And if the family wanted more blood, they would have to round up others to donate some at the blood bank. "
One suspects that somewhere there's an OPM that says
"There should be in excess of xxx litres of blood in storage at all times. Any deviations will have to be approved by *Insert signing authorities for different levels here*."
Whereby the lowest ranking nurse will do up a nice email requesting approval, run it through a dozen ping-pong checks with her nurse leader and then print out the final version for the appropriate signature/email confirmation.

Should what. Later they get a comment sheet or auditor saying that they don't have a *quote* maker-checker process *unquote* that will ensure adequate supplies of blood at all times how? Or that they *quote* don't follow OPM *unquote* how? There goes their bonus for the year man.
